Petitioners ask marathon to let these individuals finish in '14.

BOSTON MA (AP) — Runners who couldn't complete this year's Boston Marathon with the bombs at the end line have created some sort of online petition asking organizers to let them inside next year's race.

About 5, 700 people were quit on the course with the explosions that killed two people and wounded tons more on Boylston Streets on April 15. Ryan Polly, of Vermont, who was approaching the 35K checkpoint when bombs went off, started the petition needing runners like him to be permitted to register in the 2014 battle.

Boston Athletic Association authorities say they've heard from tens of thousands of runners since this year's battle — on Facebook, by email and with the phone — including many who have been stopped on the lessons. B. A. A. executive director Tom Grilk claimed "the common thread is probably persistence. "

"We need listened and read every single e-mail and voicemail, and we have been touched, " he stated. "Planning a marathon takes lots of teamwork, and planning a marathon inside the wake of the functions of April 15 takes a lot more teamwork, communication, and organizing.... As we work with our plan, and options for that number of runners which did get the chance to cross the finish brand of the race, we require those runners for continued patience. "
