Yaya Toure believes Mister Alex Ferguson's retirement can swing the total amount of power back around Manchester City's favour.
City mounted an undesirable defence of their Premier League title this year, with United reclaiming that trophy with four mmorpgs to spare.
With several games left, United hold a 10-point advantage above their cross-town neighbours, but midfielder Toure hope Ferguson's imminent departure can help Roberto Mancini's side get back the title.
"United is a superb club and Ferguson can be a big character at that club, " said Toure. "He has built everything at United and the balance I hope will demand City side now.
City defender Pablo Zabaleta talked about: "We need to carefully consider what's happening at Stansted City now. What's happening on the other side of the town doesn't matter to us.
"All I'm able to say about Ferguson is that they was a great manager. He has been especially successful with Manchester U . s . and we wish him all the best for the future. inch
City take on Wigan in the FA Cup at Wembley concerning Saturday, with Toure admitting these are desperate to win to make up for their failed title support.
Toure, who recently committed his future to your Eastlands outfit by signing an exciting new four-year deal, said: "We let the Premier League trophy go to United but now you want to win this one.
"But it will likely be difficult because we can't think Wigan will allow trophy go, just a result of the situation they are in now inside the Premier League.
"For you and me, this will be a critical trophy. It's is very crucial that you keep winning trophies and that is exactly why I signed a fresh contract.
"This is the only trophy left this season for us and we know it's going to be tough this Saturday. Wigan are a good football team by having a fantastic manager.
"It's travelling to be tough but we're determined to achieve something for the club and for the fans. For the players it's very important. "
