The Swedish international went to The Orchard School, Causeway Green Road, Oldbury, and posed for pictures with pupils and signed autographs.
From January the school has been working with Tameside Primary School, Wednesbury, to bring the two sets of children together one day every week.
Children from Tameside will then help those from Orchard, which has around 135 pupils aged between two-and-a-half and 11 with a range of physical and learning disabilities, with subjects such as history and geography and activities such as photography and crafts.
Orchard inclusion manager Jan Greenway said: "The children have absolutely loved it. There was lots and lots of excitement around the school about him being here.
"Being in Oldbury we've got a large contingent of West Bromwich Albion supporters in the school, so I had to keep his visit a secret until the day before.
"It's a nice thing to happen as it's not all about getting down and working, it's about having fun with the children."
